Can I take Citrulline with Easy Iron?

Understanding the interactions, benefits, and safety of combining these two powerful supplements.

Citrulline
+
Easy Iron

Short answer

We found no documented interaction between Citrulline and Iron in the sources below. That isn't proof the combination is right for you: check each one's cautions, and ask your pharmacist if you take medication.

Citrulline

What it is: An amino acid the body makes. The kidneys turn most of it into arginine, and then nitric oxide.

What the research says: Research on it as a performance supplement is limited and mixed.

Cautions

  • There isn't enough research to know whether it's safe; some people report stomach discomfort.

Iron

What it is: A mineral the body needs to make hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood, and some hormones.

What the research says: Iron supplements help people with iron deficiency. If you already get enough iron from food, extra iron doesn't add benefit.

Cautions

  • High doses can cause upset stomach, constipation and nausea, and can lower zinc absorption.
  • Adults should stay under 45 mg a day unless a clinician prescribes more.
  • People with hemochromatosis (iron overload) should avoid iron and vitamin C supplements.

Medicines to check

  • Levothyroxine (thyroid medicine) and levodopa: iron can make them less effective
  • Acid-reducing medicines (PPIs) can reduce iron absorption

Stop Guessing Your Dosages.

Balancing dosages across multiple different bottles is risky, inefficient, and expensive. Taking too much of one can blunt the absorption of the other.

Holitro completely solves this. We combine synergistic ingredients into one perfectly dosed daily pack, scientifically formulated for maximum absorption.
